The Social Programme |
“Great general atmosphere – nice balance between lectures and social side”
“Successful combination of practical and relevant CPD with an excellent social programme and
overall community spirit”
The ESFM Congress has always been more then just a scientific conference. It is a chance to enjoy a great city, socialise with your fellow delegates, and party in some fantastic locations.

Bayer ‘A Taste of Scotland’ evening – Friday 26, 19.00 – 21.00
Immediately after lectures on Friday afternoon, delegates will be able to take the coach to the Signet Library in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town, for ‘A Taste of Scotland’ evening hosted by Bayer. The Signet’s Upper Library is a breathtaking setting that captures the essence of Georgian Edinburgh. Guests will then have the opportunity to spend the rest of the evening exploring Edinburgh by night, or jump back on one of the coaches and return to the Sheraton. |

Congress Party – Saturday 27, 19.30 - late
FAB’s Golden Evening, sponsored by Schering Plough
2008 is the Feline Advisory Bureau’s 50th anniversary, and as founder of ESFM, the Congress Party will have a ‘golden theme’. The venue for the party is The Hub - home of Edinburgh’s International Festival. This unique and spectacular venue is a stunning combination of award winning contemporary design and classic Victorian architecture. The Hub's interior pulsates with colour, light, and creative ideas, making this a dramatic and stylish venue.
The party will consist of welcome drinks, a sumptuous dinner and plenty of music and dancing until late.
Cost of attending: £60.00 / €88,00
Dress code: Anything goes – as long as it is gold...!
Coaches will collect guests from outside the Sheraton Hotel at 19.15. There will be coaches returning to the Sheraton between 11.30 and 01.00 |
